Logo for electronfusioncreative.com
This logo is meant to convey my interests in the dichotomies of technology vs. tradition, & mathematical vs. intuitive. The inside is a scannable mobile code (the modern 2-dimensional counterpart to a barcode). The outer border is meant to reference the stamped seals used in traditional asian cultures to identify artists & owners of an artwork.
The logo is also the first element on this site to be displayed via SVG, an open coding standard that allows visual elements to be scaled up infinitely without distortion or pixellation. Most modern browsers already support this technology & the ability to enlarge pages for easy reading/viewing. Soon this site & others will make wider use of SVG, which also allows smooth animation & dynamically changing content without the overhead & proprietary restrictions of flash.

New Logo Design for Band H.I.M. (Contest Entry)
The band's old logo is called the heartagram, a combination of a heart & a pentagram (misunderstood Wiccan symbol of protection & care). For my redesign I chose to merge a heart with a swastica (misunderstood Hindu, Buddhist, & Jainist symbol of well-being), making sure to disassociate from the Nazi interpretation by using the left-facing form with dots, & forming an overall shape indicative of a cherry blossom.
